Then it's time to reach for new heights - right here in Obertauern!Obertauern is one of the snowiest ski areas in the Alps. For you that means perfect conditions from the end of November until the beginning of May! Awaiting you in the midst of Salzburg's fantastic mountain world, at elevations ranging from 1740 to 2526 metres above sea level, are 1 cabin lift, 19 chair lifts and 6 tows. Plus 100 km of magical ski slopes and 26 km of cross-country ski trails.
Obertauern also holds traditional après-ski good times, exciting nightlife and a gloriously carefree holiday atmosphere in store for you!

When the drive levers on the ski lifts have once again be shifted to "Go", beginning on November 21st, the "Snow Explorers' are bound to arrive soon. By this we mean a circle of friends including Franz Beckenbauer, Uwe Seeler, Erich Ribbeck and Werner Zimmer. More than 25 years ago, they founded the Obertauern Snow Explorers Club, since which time the friends meet every year in our community to get the new ski season underway!
